As for MDCT of the spine, the use of iterative reconstruction techniques (e.g. up to 50% ASIR) in hip MDCT arthrography helps to reduce radiation dose by approximately 35 to 60%, while maintaining diagnostic image quality comparable with a regular-dose protocol using filtered back-projection.
